Comments
Comments: Had a great hike with Stephen & Tammy that I met in the Parking Lot. The Nineteen Mile Brook Trail was well packed from snowshoer's and skiers but loose on the surface. The Carter-Moriah Trail however was not traveled on and we had to break trail to the summit. Thanks to Stephen for breaking trail most of the time! I used my ice ax on the first portion of Carter-Moriah trail where it is very steep. It was a long 1.2 miles of trail breaking sometimes up to our waist to the summit. On top it was cold, windy and snowing only was able to stay on the summit just to take a few pictures and descended. Stopped by the Carter Notch Hut for a well deserved break for lunch and made quick tracks back to the parking lot.
