Comments
Comments: 19 Mile Brook is well packed, but not as hard as I thought it would be. We put on snowshoes and wore them all day. When we got to the Wildcat Ridge Trail one or 2 people had gone up with snowshoes. We added our tracks. We met the 2 gentlemen on their way back down from "A" - thanks for all your great work. We decided to continue on over to D even though the trail was unbroken. There were 3 of us and a dog. The trail breaking wasn't that bad, only about 6 inches of snow. The steep sections were more challenging as the snow was powdery. Half way across we met 4 skiers coming over from "D" with skins on their skis. They were happy to see us and we were happy to see them. Although the skis don't really pack the trail, they did break it. We got down the ski slopes at 4 pm, perfect timing to find a ride back up to 19 mile brook. It snowed most of the afternoon, 2-3 inches. Beautiful day to be hiking with great friends.
