| Water Crossing Notes: |
Bridged. One of the bridges on Snapper was nearly covered, and when skiing down, I didn't realize it was there until I caught a glimpse of it and open water. Made it to the other side, but hugged a tree, and stopped myself with my knee. |

A couple duck unders on Snapper, otherwise smooth sailing. |

Up and down the Moose on skis. Jake and I hatched a plan yesterday, and put it into action today. Ravine Lodge Road and Gorge Brook unbroken, 2-4 inches down low with a light crust, increasing to 6-8 inches of dry, fluffy powder up high. The summit cone is fairly icy, with some wind packed snow hanging around. Jake took 7 turns off the summit, then came back up. No views, and strong westerly winds defined our summit stay. Down to the Glencliff junction, we encountered some drifting as the trail flirts with treeline. One set of snowshoe tracks came up from Glencliff, and turned around shortly beyond treeline. Carriage Road and Snapper unbroken for the most part (Carriage Road had been skied in the last couple of days), yielding excellent turns in the dry powder. Someone came up behind us and packed out Gorge Brook with snowshoes, so we had a more packed track to ski out on. What a great tour!
