On school vacation this week so decided to drive up from central MA with a friend. Absolutely perfect conditions but we had to turn around 30 minutes from the summit due to a late start and my friend being poorly equipped (horrible snowshoes). Normally it wouldn't matter but as most know the beaver brook trail is no cake walk. Also, the last 1/4th of the hike to the peak was untrekked so I had to break some trail.. a few spots along Mt. Blue were waist deep.
Really sucked having to turn around and I am going to be heading back to peak within the next week or so. |
