Comments
Comments: Saw no hikers today and I was the only one in the parking area. I have not been hiking yet in March so I decided to take a day off from work and get these 2 peaks for my winter list. Nice day with sunshine early then high overcast clouds with good views from the various viewpoints. Temps from 10 to 35 with a breeze at times. I barebooted to Whiteface summit on a very hard packed path and used the steps kicked in the snow to climb the ledges. Put on snowshoes for the balance of the trails as they were broken out by one other hiker on Sunday as well as drifted over in spots.
