This was a very worthwhile hike. We were looking for a hike with spring conditions and we got it. No snow or ice, no problems with stream crossings. Perfect weather conditions. These trails offer a little bit of everything. Open ledges, scrambles, open hardwoods, thick spruce, great views, and after Mt Major, very few hikers. The trails from Majot to Klem are very easy to follow. From Klem to North Straightback a differant story. Recent logging makes staying with the trails a bit challanging but fun. Some Trilliums and Hobblebush Blomming. Do not let these elevations fool you. This is a strenuos hike and fun. |
