| Comments: |
Beautiful blue-sky day, with just a bit of wind above tree line--needless to say the views were spectacular. All trails were well packed; we wore snowshoes from the car until well up the cone, then switched to microspikes or HH Pro Crampons (due to boniness of the trail) which we left on until back to the car. Snowshoes were not necessary, and in fact the tracks ahead of us were bare boots, but the televators were nice going up. Snow started balling up on the microspikes down low, toward the end. Six hour hike, including a leisurely lunch stop on Lincoln. |
