Bill and I broke 12-18 inches from the subdivision to the lower Stony Brook junction where a party yesterday had broken to the meadow where the trail bootlegs sharp right and begins the final climb to the Carter Moriah junction before they turned around. Thanks very much. Bill and I were breaking knee deep heavy powder when three trail angels came upon us...SilverFox, Valerie, and Miriam from Montreal. We took turns breaking through some high drifts. Trail is well packed now but WARNING TO BAREBOOTERS...you could posthole so deep you may disappear until snow melt. Great day out and Thanks Again to Bill, SilverFox, Valerie and Miriam. |
