Comments
Comments: Nephew and I opted to do Hale based on the forecast...sounds like we should have gone with the original plan of doing Garfield. Anyway, Zealand Road had ski and snowshoe tracks so no problem. The trail on the other hand was untouched. He and I made it to the summit but there was a lot of whimpering from me....deep drifts in places. Of course upon reaching the summit I saw that the Fire Warden trail was nicely packed out! I'd suggest taking that trail, much more consolidated then HBT. IBU's tonight!
