Comments
Comments: Very cold this morning. Trail an unbroken carpet of new snow on arrival. 12-18 inches about right of pretty dense powder, this was not an easy slog through the champagne stuff. Once above 4000 feet depths got greater and many thigh deep drifts. Nice views from the snowpack on Garfield Ridge Trail which was very loose and unconsolidated. Top all drifted in..there was some wind here during the storm!!! Nice views in all directions and we (group of 4) enjoyed our loosely broken trail on descent. This trail would count as broken out but by no means packed, with any kind of wind I am sure our trench will be blown in quickly. Great day out!!
