| Comments: |
The day started out as one of the best the area had seen in weeks. A low pressure system moved in early Saturday am and we watched it creep up behind us as we reached the hut. Climbing Monroe was windy, as expected, with blue skies to the East and gray and purple clouds moving in quickly. The ascent on Crawford to Washington was bright and windy until the last half mile. Visibility went from 100 miles to 100 feet! The wind gusts at the peak at 1:00 pm was enough to push us around. Looking forward to a Summer climb! |
