Comments
Comments: Did this one with the Random Group of Hikers.

There was only one car at Sabbaday Brook Trailhead when we got there at 7:40 and he was there to meet up with us. We left a few cars in the lot and headed down the road to the alone Bend Trailhead where there was already a car (looked like there overnight). Made quick work of the flattish stuff - some wore snow shoes while others were fine in spikes since the snow is well packed on this section. A few more switched to snow shoes at the Wilderness Area sign before starting the steep climb that begins soon thereafter.

The snow continued to be well packed all the way to North Tripyramid. There were a few soft spots in the stretch of trail between North and Middle but nothing that resulted in any post holes. We had talked about how best to return - we had cars at both trailheads so we had options. There hadn't been any recent reports on the water crossing along the lower sections of Sabbaday Brook Trail so we weren't sure what to expect. Based on what we saw on Pine Bend Trail was decided that they would be fine. They were more than fine - if you weren't looking for them you very well might have missed seeing them all together since they are very well bridged.
