Too nice of a day to pass up so looked for a quick hike. Perfect choice. Trail was a well packed, cement sidewalk, with a few small ice patches that are easy to avoid. Easily bare bootable, but traction would help (we used microspikes up and down). Televators would also be helpful if you want to give your calves a break. Deep postholes off to side. Great trail for sledding (saw 3), but very fast!
Windy on top (35mph sustained) but fantastic sky/views! Trail conditions couldn't be better. Did the hike in 3 hrs with time spent on top. Wish it was this easy in the summer. |
