Comments
Comments: Excellent outing. Used snowshoes hut-summit-hut and it worked well for us but lots of people bare-booting or using micro-spikes and a few with crampons. Snow a little looser the higher the trail. Could have used micro-spikes and then switched to crampons and left the snowshoes in the car but since we had them, we used them rather than carry them. Blue sky with a few clouds to start, and we got the view on the ledge at North Kinsman, but by the time we summited South and returned the weather closed in and we were in the clouds the rest of the way. Haven't seen that many people on the trail for a long time. Kestrel data: T=22, W=10, WC=8.
