Comments
Comments: Ditto comments by John in NH. It was a gorgeous blue sky day until we began our return up East Peak then some scattered clouds began gathering.

I used my MSRs until I went past the second patch of ice (425 ft below East Peak) and switched to my Hill sound Pros not knowing how much ice was ahead. Missed the televaters and could have stuck with the MSRs as there was no more exposed ice.

Took the bypass up towards Main Peak as I missed the Bypass of the Bypass but took the latter coming down. Wide packs and big snowshoes might have tight squeeze as the gaps between the trees are slim.

Many people including my hiking companion used micros up and down both peaks. But I would not recommend descending the East Peak towards Greeley Pond jct in micros. My companion decided she will get Hillsounds for those conditions.
But everyone seemed to do okay - just descend more slowly to be safe.

Great to chat with John in NH (enjoy your postings) and Jason, Beth, Tim, and Sandy. Congrats to Sandy for her first ever 4,000 footer and a twofer at that!

My winter #41 and #42.
