Trails were packed solid. One slight duck under toward the summit. |

Saw one beautiful and well mannered Golden with an equally well mannered owner who moved his dog to the side to let us pass. The dog and his three human companions appeared to be having a great time. |

Fast trails! I wondered whether it might have been easier going with heel lifts but not enough to change out of regular Hillsounds and into Tubbs. If your calves aren't up to a mile and a half or so of pretty much constant steep strain, you may want to use shoes. The descent is one long butt slide... Weeeeeeeeeee!
