| Comments: |
It was -10 degrees when we left the car. COLD! Walked the road to Dodge Camp after leaving the car at the base of the Auto Road. The pavement was COLD on the dogs paws but we moved quickly to warm up. The Imp and N.Carter trails in great shape. Some drifting on the ridge but nothing significant. Surprised that the Mt Hight loop was little used. Best view on the ridge! The descent from Carter Dome and the ascent up Wildcat Ridge are badly post-holed. I fail to understand why people would carry snowshoes and not wear them. The Wildcat ridge trail has seen little traffic the past few days but should be well tracked again after today. Thanks again to my friends Jack and Andy for taking me on yet another great hike. (358/576) |
