Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: There were step overs and walk arounds on Blueberry Ledge and Rollins but for the most part trails wide open and clear. There were three trail adopters out today working on their trails.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: I thought the mighty tough little dog would need a little help on the ledges of Whiteface but he had no problem. I slowed him down. The snow up high was just what he liked given the warm sunny day and his dark coat. Met Miles, a very nice dog properly dressed for summer in a white fur coat.

Comments
Comments: Bareboot to Whiteface. Microspikes on Rollins and Dicey's to Passaconaway. Below Rollins bareboots as the monorail pieces had been chopped into slush. I carried snowshoes but never needed them although if later in the day on Rollins, maybe? Ran into two barebooters above Rollins who found the steep areas without traction hard work. There were a fair number of people on the trails but for the most part I could let Pepper on his own as we only met people rarely and had a nice lunch on one of the Rollins outlooks. So nice to hike on Rollins in the dappled sun on a firm monorail, with the refreshing cool air of the snow.
