Gale River Loop Rd. is closed for winter, so I parked at the winter lot at the western end of the loop road. |

| Comments: |
The road and trails were so well packed that I was able to bareboot all the way to the top except for the last 0.1 mile, where I switched to spikes because of the steep grade. Kept them on during the descent so my feet wouldn't slide. Also, I didn't see another soul the entire time, despite there being one other car when I started and when I got back.
All in all a great day. |
