It was great to hike a 4K again. This was my first 4K after an injection from an orthopedic surgeon. The trail is a very well packed down but there are a few post holes from bare-booters who wandered off to the sides. There aren't enough post holes to compromise the conditions. I wore MSR Evo Ascents from car to car. There are several tracks that meander on and off the trail below the tower.
I finally used a few landmarks (boulders) and came upon the cairn, sorry if my tracks added to further confusion. Pretty windy but I never layered beyond my softshell. |
