Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Sawyer River Road closed. No issues. We were the only car there on arrival at 8am and remained the only one at 5:30 pm on our return. 
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular

Recommended Equipment: Snowshoes, Light Traction 
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: We got wet at both water crossings. We should have been able to rock hop, but had trouble with finding the rocks under the unstable snow bridge 
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trail was fabulous ~ just like a sidewalk, except for the col which was drifts and a bit intimidating 
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: No issues and didn't see any dogs (or other hikers, either)

Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Found a lovely White Mountains Map (mapadventures) marked with all of the 4000 foot summits the prior owner had achieved. We would be happy to return it. Just email me.

Comments: It was a spectacular day! A bit chilly, but the sky could not have been bluer and the trail could not have been better! Thanks to those who traveled before us and made sure the snow was really packed!
