Comments
Comments: The snowshoe track is hard packed from Little River Rd. to S. Twin summit, with a some inconsequential drifts up higher. I used snowshoes for the full hike, but given temperatures in the teens, spikes likely would have worked well also. If you get up on the Twins this week, check out the five inch icicles hanging from the scrub trees in the col.
I located the Fire Warden's trail to Hale on the way back out. There is evidence of snowshoe activity on the trail, but I can't say how far it is broken out. A good trail report would be helpful.
