Comments
Comments: The predicted High winds did not materialize luckily. There were some High winds on Madison and Adams, and again on Clay and Washington. Otherwise not bad at all. All of the trails were an amazingly good shape. Edmunds col had none of the high drifting I was anticipating. Very icy coming down off Jefferson toward Washington. You will definitely want Micro spikes or crampons for this section. From Monroe to Jefferson was very lightly traveled but easily dealt with in snowshoes. From the Jefferson Summit back to the Highland Center was a well packed superhighway. Was quite surprised to see several dozen people up on the ridge despite the High wind warnings. I thought only a fool like me would be up there! The weather was quite cooperative and even delivered some periods of beautiful blue sky. Tremendous day up on the presidential's.
