| Comments: |
definitely packed snow lower down; potentially one could bare-boot but as others have written, that really destroys the trail; used snowshoes all the way, met some bare-booters and they sank into the less packed snow in higher elevation and really mess up the trail; sunny skies all day; 360 views; really windy so we had to do a quick ridge walk to summit sign and retreat to tree cover; when we returned, drifts near start of trail had entirely erased foot prints of group of hikers we had met only 30min earlier-->really windy |
