Comments
Comments: i was happy to see the parking lot so full this morning, knowing we had a lot of new snow. but by the time we got to the steeps up the east peak we had overtaken the other hikers and skiers, so broke the rest of the way. lot of new snow, 4 inches or less where it had blown off and 12 inches or more where it hadn't. deeper drifts. loose snow made ascending the steeps a good workout. any ice on the chimney is covered. we were apparently the only ones to go over to osceola, the trail between the peaks is tracked but not packed. from the east peak to the parking lot was well packed much of the way. snowshoes are a must! a great day out with Bob, Jack, and Andy
