Dog-Related Notes: We had two experienced dogs with us and no problems although the very top of the ascent of North has some icy scrambles and the descent off Middle Tripyramid had a few challenges due to light snow cover.

Comments: The trail is completely packed out the entire route.

Snow cover on the South Slide is powdery and unconsolidated so it's common to strike rocks awkwardly underneath. One of us wore snowshoes the other changed into microspikes - no clear advantage to either.

When descending South Slide in the trees low down, the trail makes a hard right at a blowdown that crosses the drainage. Hikers are scrambling over the tree and then making the right.
