Met two new guys and had two old pals. Left the lot around 8:45 to a minimally broken trail, only to find that once the trail heads up, it was all unbroken. Started with traction, micros weren't enough and switched to snow shoes for the remainder of the hike. Was fairly chilly but no wind till the tree line. Above that, the wind was blowing hard and it was cold, but the sun was out and you could see all around. Tagged the top and headed back down the same way, happy to not have to break more trail. Mostly all powder with some ice bulges peeking through.
Great day on the Moose! |
