Comments
Comments: There was about 6 inches of snow in the parking lot. From the feel of the lower section of trail, the new snow is about all that there is. Powder hiding rocks and roots until you rejoin the old logging roads. It was very easing going from there up to the Bald Knob jcnt. Lots of coyote tracks but little else. Snow depths starting to increase from here up thru the switchbacks (6 inches plus). I was surprised to hit the ridge and not see any tracks. 10-12 inches along the Kinsman Ridge Trail with some drifting. It snowed at a moderate pace the whole time I was on the ridge. More substantial drifting from the S Kinsman view to the summit cairn. Knee deep for about 100 yards. Still easy to move thru. If we get any substantial wind, my track would fill in in seconds. Didn't see another soul all day.
