Comments
Comments: We were planning on this hike Wednesday but with the coming snow we decided to squeeze it in today - literally. My husband got off work at 6am we drove up from the seacoast and had to be back in the seacoast for him to get back to work at 6pm. Everything went very well. We used spikes car to car. The steep section I refer to in the Dog Notes can be by-passed through the woods - I would recommend that, but that section of trail in general is pretty steep. There were a couple places snowshoes may have helped but things were pretty postholed and our shoes don't handle uneven terrain well (our new ones come in tomorrow!). Everything is well traveled, but not well packed except for the LL.

We bushwacked from the col between the Kinsmans to Kinsman Pond Trail - it cut off mileage but wasn't worth it as the snow was pretty deep. All in all, an incredible day to be out, no wind and gorgeous clear views. Unfortunately with the snow on its way this report is pretty much null and void, but thought I would put it up as the Cannon Balls hadn't been updated in a while.
