Solo hike. Parked at Great Glens and walked the mile to 19 Mile Brook Trail. Lots of slush on trail from rain/snow mix Saturday night. Lots of people (hung over!) coming out of Carter Notch Hut. Up to Wildcat A was a light dusting of snow, with ice on the steeps. Perfect snowshoeing from A to D. I'd forgotten to buy hiker's pass to use the ski trails, but the ski patrol was very helpful. I was asked to check in at the bottom, and the folks at Guest Services were grateful that I'd stopped to offer my $10. Great way to keep good relations with the ski area. |
