Comments
Comments: Bare booted up OBP, past the hut to Lafayette, south along the ridge and down FWT to the ice bulges near the falls. I put on Micro's for that section and could have removed them once below that area but chose to leave them on for the remainder of the hike.

Packed powder from the car to tree line above the hut, mostly bare rock across the ridge, and packed powder again once in the trees below Little Haystack back to the car. The falls area (ice bulges) on Falling Waters requirers traction. Would have been much easier going up then what I did (coming down). Aside from that no real ice to deal with.

Of the 15 hikers I saw today most had Micro's, a few with crampons. I carried snow shoes but, IMO, would have given me no real advantage.
