Big hike for sasha today. Lots of snow balling up on her paws. She was a real scaredy cat on the trail today. |

Water crossings are frozen but incould hear the running water below.
More dirt than snow on the first half mile of the trail. I wore microspikes on the way up mostly because they were already on my boots. They were helpful in a few spots but unnecessary. Half a mile below the kinsman ridge trail the snow was soft and 3-4 inches deep---no postholing at all. Same goes for the kinsman ridge trail until just after south kinsman where the i potholed 2-3 feet for a few minutes before i turned around. |
