Comments
Comments: Used microspikes for the first 2.5 miles of MKT then switched to snowshoes, more for ease of walking than out of necessity. Left the shoes on until coming down the last couple of miles of MKT. Many people up on the Kinsmans today, coming up MKT, KRT from the North and Cascade Brook Trail. Almost all were not using snowshoes, which was causing some choppyness, but no significant post-holing, of the solid trail snow cover. Note, KRT looked broken out to the South from S. KInsman, but only as seen from the cairn.
