Comments
Comments: road is nicely packed. the start of the Mt Garfield trail is basically free of snow. pretty quickly there is some packed snow on the trail, but it is quite bony. I work spikes from the car until after the last water crossing. there was more loose snow on the trail, so i happily put on snow shoes. was really glad for them as i approached the summit. was happy to see gritty Wayne on his 12th consecutive month hiking a pemi! woo hoo!
