Fast trails today. Well packed out. A little less so between Field and Willey. Ice lurking under snow in spots but never an issue as minimal snow had somewhat bonded with the ice. In hindsight I would've gone up Avalon and down A-Z as you could definitely cruise down A-Z faster. Many hikers here today. Nice sheltered hike. Limited views today. Most had microspikes today with a few in full crampons, a few barebooters and one snowshoer. There is just enough snow cover for snowshoes but not needed today. |
