| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
The summer lot is plowed and mostly free of ice, but the road leading up to it could be icy with the recent weather. We parked in the winter lot, which was also plowed nicely and free of ice, and easy to get in and out of despite a covering of packed snow. |

| Comments: |
Overall the trail was very suited to microspikes, with crunchy/sticky ice under a light layer of mostly packed-down snow. Some might prefer crampons over the larger ice floes but microspikes did the job nicely, and snowshoes are unnecessary. Later in the day, snow moved in and dusted everything with a fresh coat. Overall the conditions make for easy going over the snow and small amount of exposed ice (near the spring). |
