Comments
Comments: Trail is ice and icy crust covered with 2-4 inches of new snow. Microspikes managed but crampons would have been better in some areas, especially higher up. The lower two high ledges were manageable but very icy, and the highest ledge stopped us, more because of the prospect of coming down than the difficulty of going up. Attempt ledges with caution. Kestrel data T = 17; unable to accurately measure wind and wind chill due to wind swirling in the trees. Real winter hike with constant light snow. Only two fleeting views due to low cloud cover. Fine day.
