Comments
Comments: 3-4 inches of new snow at the trailhead. Put on our snowshoes right from the beginning and stayed in them all day. Up to about 8-9 inches of beautiful powder-fluff by the time we got to the intersection at 1.4 miles. Tim was breaking trail through about 12 inches of that same light fluff as we approached treeline. Just beautiful in the trees and on the trail. No real wind at the summit, but no views. Snow on the lower portions softened a bit before our return. Multiple bare-booters had gone up to Elephant Head and that turned that portion of the trail very slushy.
