Trail is in great shape, which made for a quick trip. Several icy spots and crusty ice along the Falling Waters Tr, but Hillsound spikes worked well. The ridge was mostly trace snow, up to a couple inches in some spots. And the Old Bridle Path was very well packed up to the hut with some unpacked powder of a couple of inches above the hut. We wore spikes for the entire trip. The snow in the forecast held off until the drive home which made for some great views along the ridge, but some slippery roads.. |
