The valley way had alot of ice so I installed my spike thingy's on my boots. I got up to the hit to find someone had broke a piece of wood out of a door to get inside. I ran into the hut crew ready to fix it. After a short break I headed up the see the summit of mt. Adams with snow drifts at times and it still a great sight. The clouds held off although it was in/out at times with made for cool pics. Headed back to the hut and ran into an old friend. Great to see you again. Grabbed a snack at the hut and headed up to the summit of Madision. At this point in the day and on my second hike my legs were as tight as the strings on my banjo so frequent stretching was much needed for the remander of the hike. I was a lucky dog today and glad the weather stayed clear for my afternoon journy to the high peaks of NH. |
