| Comments: |
Only light traction was necessary up to the Hancock Loop. It was fast going the entire way and especially on Hancock Notch and Cedar Brook. A dusting of fresh powder covered the trails, all of which are ice coated, and helped make for good footing. The steep portion of the Hancock Loop trail up to the North summit required traction -- we switched to the Hillsound Pros soon after starting the steep ascent. Beautiful views on the way from North to South! The descent from South was an easy slide most of the way down. What a blast! There was just enough powder covering the ice to turn the trail into a human luge course. |
