Comments: Polecat was ice/frozen snow covered by 3-4 inches of fresh snow. Ridge was the same. Great traction with Hillsounds all day. Some care required on the steep climbs along the ridge but really quite doable. The descent was awesome with the several inches of powder over the hard icy crust. 35 minutes to cover the 2.75 miles and could be done faster. Started in the clouds but everything opened up as I crossed the ridge...no wind on top today-great day to be out...
