Lower ones are hop/jump overs. Upper ones are still well bridged. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
A few blowdowns that will need bigger saws but are no problem. Wolfgang cleared out a lot of branches, I did a few more, a few more could be done. |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
The mighty tough little dog had such a good time he practically hugged me all through snack time on top. The fact I had the open jerky packet with me was coincidental I'm sure. Pepper would have liked to do more roughhousing with Rudi (sp?). |

| Bugs: |
None. |
|
| Lost and Found: |
Lost a small beige Tamrac camera case with a small Minolta Dimage camera and Tracfone |

| Comments: |
Trail started mostly dry with wet spots, then some old monorail, and then the monorail pieces increased until they were pretty solid a bit after the major stream hop. I put microspikes on then but I noticed on my way down 3 others barebooting up. The monorail was perfect for microspikes or better Wolfgang's Hillsound spikes in the am, being firm and crusty. On my way down it had softened where the sun could get at it, and 3 others were barebooting. Snowshoes not needed in am, but maybe later in pm? Warm sun and chilly wind at top, but with a windbreak we spent a half an hour on top enjoying the views. It was great to skip work, greater still to be in the mountains on such a day with the little mutt, and great to have met and talked with Wolfgang. |
