| Water Crossing Notes: |
When it's 34 degrees and you have running water, you will have wet feet. Everything was wet and running, some ice held other spots did not. No real issues water could be avoid it you tried. Should be fine after a good freeze. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Blowdowns were non-existent from Cabot to the Horn, but once on Kilkenny Ridge trail over Terrace then South Weeks made up for it. Minimal blazes, lots of blowdowns and no trough to follow made route finding challenging. |

| Comments: |
Leaving the summits I would find the trail and be able to hold onto it until the next uphill. The only saving grace was the snow pack was firm to non-existent. I wore Flex Alps most of the way after crossing York Pond trail. Once at Waumbek I switched to micro spikes. My tracks at times leave the trail but hit every summit and got me out, follow them at your own peril. |
