Comments
Comments: Running water in the bushwhack and Liberty Spring trail in places. Increasing ice flows in the LS trail as we climbed. Care needed. Micros worked but trail crampons were much better. The lower trails will be tough when they freeze. The ridge trail was better with more snow than ice. No need for snowshoes until we get more snow. A dusting to a few inches of snow will make the going dangerous in places.
The best views today were of the Pemi just north of exit 27 on I93. The ice flow jam is impressive and it has caused the river to overflow into the surrounding low lands.
