| Comments: |
The hike up to the Lonesome Lake Hut was good except for the very beginning of the Lonesome Lake trail that had quite a few post holes on it. Light snow was falling and really did not need any traction until I reached the Fishin Jimmy Trail once past the Lonesome Lake Hut a quarter of a mile or so. No view today on the summit as everything was wrapped in low clouds. Slipped on the way down with light traction and bruised the front of my left thigh muscle due to the fall, but was able to hobble along ok with some pain. I would recommend full crampons on both the Fishin Jimmy & Kinsman Ridge trail. I immediately switched to full crampons after my fall and changed back to my micro-spikes again once I reached the Lonesome Lake Lodge. I got back to Lafayette Parking lot at 5:30 pm using my headlamp in good spirits. |
