Gale River running briskly. First crossing swollen. Bridge on reroute crossing sufficient. |

Pre-treated Grete with musher's wax. Bushwacked approx 150 yards upstream and located stable dry paw crossing at start of Gale River trail. |

Microspikes car to car. Minimal snow cover down low. Mostly icy trail underneath some fresh snow. Borderline traction conditions between cutoff to Mt Garfield and hut. Views from outlook before top of Galehead, South Twin in the clouds in the am. |
