Great day! Had a couple extra hours this afternoon so we decided to knock it off our winter list. The trail is so packed we only took 10 minutes longer than our summer hike (2 hours 10 minutes for this hike love Tecumseh!). Two people were coming down (both barebooted, and they said it was manageable but we opted to use snowshoes so we wouldn't posthole the trail - they had in several places) and there were three of us headed up. The trail is well packed from yesterday/today's travels and sledders. The only time we were breaking trail was when we chose to go right instead of left at the summit sign. No wind on the summit and awesome clarity, we could see the presidentials. |
