Comments
Comments: Nice day to be out. It was amazing how little snow there was on the lower elevations. Trail had seen a solo snowshoe hiker the day before and there was a solo bare booter hiking ahead of me today. I wore snowshoes the whole day in an attempt to pack down the trail. It saw some good traffic on Jan 1 so the track was well marked. Higher elevations had 3-4 inches on new snow, more in a few drifts. Great views from the summit with plenty of blue sky.
