were able to bare boot or lt. traction up to treeline. Snowshoed cross to Sphinks Col on snowfields, but back to bare boots or lt. traction going up Jefferson cone (lots of bare rock). Bob Martin & I cleared Jewell Tr. of blowdown and brushed back from treeline down to view. Below that, we just took care of downed trees. Trail is pretty open now. Saw some bear cub tracks in trail on the way down. |
